December Daily 2016 | Day Five

Image
Today, I used a journaling card from Ali's Main kit to spark my story. I decided to document five things we do to count down the days until Christmas. Some of these things, we've done for a few years now, but we still love them. And some are new this year. I just want to say how I love my 6 year old's excitement for the season. He loves doing Christmassy things like his momma. :) One page for today: Had some fun with photoshop today. A nice, little hybrid layout for day five.

December Daily 2016 | Day Four

Image
Welcome to December Daily 2016 | Day Four It's finally starting to look like Christmas around here, but I'm still not even close to done. Today, somewhere in between feeling cold, miserable, and sick, I managed to get the Christmas bins down from the garage. I decorated the wall unit and put the ornaments on the tree, with the help of a very excited and determined 6 year old. Here's my page for day four: I added two 4x6 photos adhered back to back.   I made this page interactive with fip-ups and Avery index tabs.  And there you have it, day four in the book. I love how this album is coming together. This project continues to bring me great joy!

December Daily 2016 | Day Three

Trevor and I were weighing the pros and cons of buying a fake tree this year. There were so may pros, and we were pretty excited about it. We went all over in some crazy cold, rainy weather to three different stores, but we couldn't find anything we liked. So we ended up going to the tree lot, and buying a real tree. And the one we chose was awesome! Why can't we find a fake tree that looks like this? Just one page for today: Simple. Clean. A story worth remembering.

December Daily 2016 | Day Two

Love capturing the magic of giving during December. Welcome to day two. Taylor is in Kindergarten now. And I love his school! I feel like finally, his education is legit, lol. Being in Kindergarten means new routines, experiences, and traditions. And I was so happy to find out his school was doing a toy drive. The last day to collect toys was today, Friday, December 2. So after work on Thursday, we went to Walmart to pick out a toy. Here's the spread for day two: I adhered another full page photo to the back of day one's. I added some stickers and a red star from Ali's Main Kit this year. The photo measures the size of the page protector. In this album, it came out to be 7.4 by 8.5. Left:  Right:  I love that gold foil "Merry Everything" card from the Paislee Press mini kit this year. The journaling looks great, but came out so small! Here's what it reads: Taylor starting Kindergarten brings  many new experiences and traditions. One I...

December Daily 2016 | Intentions and Day One

Image
Welcome December! As always, it's so nice to see you again. Before I show you Day one, here's my completed cover pages and intentions. I apologize for the bad lighting. I'm asking Santa for a good lamp this year 😉.  I'll be sure to post on Instagram with natural light. Follow me! @malmark1  My intentions are very personal this year. I really need to better myself this month, and from now on.  And I used silk screens for the first time, and loved them!! Okay, on to day one now:  It was so cold when I got up this morning. I was excited for my first Red cup of the season. Left:  I included a screen shot of the weather. I typed up my journaling and adhered it to a card. I included a bow from Jasmine Jones' kit. The insert: A card adhered on a cut down transparency.  The back:  I typed up my version of Let it Snow this morning onto white vellum:  I adhered little white stars on the bottom. Right:  Right ...

I somehow forgot to write up this post, and I've had my foundation pages done since before Halloween, lol. So before I blog about day one, I'm going to show you my foundation pages. :) Here's my cover page.   I cut it down to 4x4, and used my Fuse tool on the page protector. I plan on putting my intentions on the back. A second cover page:  This year, I decided to make one foundation page per day.
