December Daily 2014 | Day Two

Image
Welcome to Day Two! I took a little power nap and now I feel accomplished. :) Here's a look at day three: It was so cold and gray. I just wanted to be home all day in my PJs with a cup of hot cocoa. So right after work, I picked Taylor up from school, and we went straight to the couch. Elf was on, score! I made some hot chocolate. He tried it, lol. But he was so into the movie, I got excited in that moment that he'll actually watch Christmas movies with me this year. The left page of my spread is that awesome 6x8 sheet from the December Daily kit : THERE OUGHT TO BE MORE MERRY MAKING , love it! Insert:  A screen shot of the temperature and my cup of yummy! Wish I had more marshmallows. Back:  Some journaling and a photo of Taylor and me snuggling. Celebrate and the numeral 2 was included in the kit. Love those acrylic words from Ali this year! Right: Leaving work, I couldn't help but take a photo of the trees at the entrance. They are turning some

December Daily 2014 | Day One

Image
Even though I was so tired last night, I still completed day one of my December Daily album, and I'm so glad I did. Here's my layout for day one.  Christmastime is all about traditions. And I'm so glad that this year we are adding a new one. Advent. We have done things for Advent in the past: Advent books and this cute reindeer my mom got me to put little toys and candy. This year, our Elf brought Taylor a Lego Advent calendar, and he was thrilled. He couldn't wait to come home and build his first creation. Here's the left:  Here's the right:  I hope everyone enjoyed day one, and I'm looking forward to seeing everyone's album!

Getting ready | December Daily 2014

Image
December Daily time is here! Things are a little different this year, and I think I'm okay with that. My momentum remains strong so even though I don't have all my foundation pages done, I feel confident that won't stop me from completing and enjoying this project.  Love my title page!  It's on a page protector because I love that see-through look.  This cute little tree is on the back of the 25 page.  And right next to it is my reason why.  The back is a December calendar and what will be my bucket list for the month.  Then we get into Day one. Love the silver and gold!  And day two. Super simple.

Project Life 2014 | Week Nineteen

Image
I really want to write more blog posts. I don't always want this to be a place for sharing my December Daily. So I've been pretty productive lately, thanks to my mother-in-law helping out around the house. :) So I'm finally mostly caught up with this year's Project Life album. And for the first time in a WHILE, I got last week's spread all done by Tuesday, and I'd like to share it. Here's a look at Week Nineteen: This was Mother's Day week, and I felt so special and so loved. Left:  That glare is driving me crazy! Right:  As an insert, I added a long journaler from Ali Edwards to record the story of Mother's Day. I slipped my cards behind that. Once you flip the insert over: I still have so much momentum from National Scrapbook Day, and I hope it stays!

I started the spread with a cut page protector: and the back: What the spread looks like in the album: Right: Day Twenty-Five We spent the morning at home, taking our time with opening up presents and having breakfast. That evening we went to Trevor's dad's house. Left: Right: Sequins and stars are just floating around in the page protector, love that!
