December Daily 2012 - Day Twenty One

Image
I couldn't decide which story to tell today. I knew I wanted to include my ornaments in this album, but can't believe it hasn't come up yet, and we're on the 21st day of December! So I got a pretty shot of the tree, showcasing our new B monogram ornament, and included an insert showing some of the new ones we got this year. I also wanted to share two photos of Taylor at school this morning. They had put out new decorations- Mickey, Minnie, and Santa. He immediately noticed them, walked up to them, hugged them, and talked to them. And repeated this when we were leaving for the day. He is just the sweetest! He's making a menacing face in one photo, so that's why I typed "Naughty or Nice" onto the photo. But truthfully, he has been very nice this year! He is such a good boy! Here's my left page: Here's the front of the insert: And the back: Here's my right page: Glad we all survived the Apocalypse.  Hehe, couldn't help m

Today my class had their holiday party. And my kids did great! The theme was Winter Wonderland. Classroom decorations and student projects included snowmen and snowflakes. We performed two songs for parents- Walking in a Winter Wonderland, where my kids actually put together a cardboard snowman, and These Are The Special Times, in which my kids signed the words. It was a huge success and a fun day! My photo on the right page is a full page photo (4x6) and it is of my students performing.  Here is my left page:

December Daily 2012 - Day Nineteen

For the next 2 days, I will be sharing stories from my classroom. And in my album, I have photos of my students. I can't post those photos though (unless someone can teach me how to blur it out, lol). Today, another teacher brought a tub full of fake snow for the kids. During recess, my kids were playing with it, and I got some really great photos of them throwing snowballs at each other. On the left side, I painted the back of the chipboard insert and included a quote I liked from a Christmas magazine. For the photo, I added a digital overlay from Ali Edwards, with some typed journaling on the right of the photo.

Tonight, I finally picked up and addressed our Christmas cards. I am so unhappy with myself because I am really late this year. Hopefully, they will get to my family and friends by Christmas. Next year, I promise I will start early and send them out that first week in December. Here's my left page:    That chevron paper came with the Studio Calico kit and I love it! Here's my right page: I put a full-size photo on a piece of chipboard. My actual Christmas card was too large to include so I took a photo of my workspace. Trevor gave me an early Christmas present--that awesome address stamp! :)

So it's December 19th, and I just completed day 17. :( I really hope I catch up tomorrow. And then I'd like to catch up with my Project Life! Boy, I am busy. I used the bulk of my night to wrap presents, and now I'm tired, but must post this, I must! Here's my left page:  I went to lunch with a friend (and my boss) on Monday, and then we went to get frozen yogurt. It was really nice to talk and hang out outside of work. Here's my right page: Good night!

December Daily - Day Sixteen

Weclome to December Daily 2012 - Day Sixteen. I finally got to my holiday shopping today. I don't know why I am so late with everything this year! I hope I can get it together before Christmas. Here's my left page:  I LOVE those thickers! I included an envelope for all my receipts, not sure what I want to do with the front yet. Here's my right page:

December Daily 2012 - Day Fifteen

Day Fifteen. Tonight, we took Taylor to Santa's Enchanted Forest. We did the same last year, and he was so good, we want to do this every year. He was still such a good boy, hanging out in his stroller, looking at the lights, and rides, and he's such a people-watcher. I even took him on three rides. This year, we brought Trent again, and Granny, which made it a lot easier on us. Here's my left page: Here's an insert on the acetate included in the Studio Calico kit: I cut that sleigh with my Christmas Cheer cartridge for the Cricut machine. Love that it shows through on the back. Here's my right page:

December Daily 2012 - Day Fourteen

Finally, almost caught-up with my December Daily. See what a fun-filled weekend does to ya? Friday night, we checked out the Christmas lights at the Zoo. It was nice, but I wish the whole zoo was opened, and that we could've seen some animals, but the lights were cool, and watching Taylor with Kayden was the highlight of the night. Taylor was being so sweet, giving her hugs every chance she could get and holding her hand. I'm so glad they get along so nicely. It was a fun night. Before I go on, I just want to give my heartfelt condolences for the victims in the Newtown, Connecticut school shooting. As a teacher, my students are my like my kids, and I spend more time with them than my own child, and I couldn't even imagine such a tragedy. The world is seriously a scary place. :( Here's my left page:  ^ The front of a chipboard insert. I included our ticket stubs and an adorable photo of my little man.  ^ The back of the insert.  Here's my right page:

Day thirteen was all about the yummy smells of December. I just love that Christmas tree scent candle, which I got a pretty snowflake cover for this year. And in the bathroom is a yummy peppermint scent. But what I really love this year is that soap from Bath & Body Works. Here's my left page:  Stinks about the tree. :( Such a beautiful tree too, and no aroma at all! Here's my right page: And the spread. Thanks for looking. Mallory

Today, Trevor and I received an awesome gift basket from one of his customers. Lots of yummy goodies inside. Here's the left side:  Still loving that reindeer paper. I got it online 2 years ago. Its double-sided (the back is plaid that you'll see in my album as well) and I believe Basic Grey makes it. Here's the right side: Super simple day.

I can't believe it is already the 11th. I'm really loving this smaller size. It 's a lot easier to get done and I like the fact I can include instagram pictures. Today I gave Taylor a candy cane after school and he looked so cute eating it. Here's the spread:  Left page: Love those wood veneer snowflakes!  Right page:  And a look at it in my album: Oops, my snowflake bent. :P Hope you're having a good week! Mallory

December Daily 2012 - Day Ten

Welcome to Day Ten I took some photos in my classroom today. It's starting to look very Christmasy in there. Unfortunately, I need ink! :( Here's my left page:  ...a little insert (a 3x4 Project Life Grid card)  And the right page: Thanks for stopping by! Mallory

December Daily 2012 - Days Eight & Nine

Image
Well, I hope you've had a great weekend. I sure did, that's why I got a little behind. And now I'm bringing you days eight & nine in my album. Even though I have to start getting ready for work. :P Day Eight  Taylor and I checked out a new park by our house, and it was awesome. Lots of equipment to play on, tons of slides, two levels with all the stuff to climb on and bridges to walk across. I was so happy to have found such a great park so close by. Taylor wasn't too sure though. He was walking around and checking everything out, but surprisingly he didn't want to go on the slides. He asked for the swings, which he's never really been into. And he loved them! He was laughing and smiling. And he didn't want to get off! Here's my left page:  With a little flip-up to reveal some journaling. Here's my right page: I included a digital brush by Ali Edwards onto the photo before printing. And a look of the spread inside my album:
