December Daily 2012 - Days Eight & Nine

Well, I hope you've had a great weekend. I sure did, that's why I got a little behind. And now I'm bringing you days eight & nine in my album. Even though I have to start getting ready for work. :P

Day Eight
 Taylor and I checked out a new park by our house, and it was awesome. Lots of equipment to play on, tons of slides, two levels with all the stuff to climb on and bridges to walk across. I was so happy to have found such a great park so close by. Taylor wasn't too sure though. He was walking around and checking everything out, but surprisingly he didn't want to go on the slides. He asked for the swings, which he's never really been into. And he loved them! He was laughing and smiling. And he didn't want to get off!

I included a digital brush by Ali Edwards onto the photo before printing.

Day Nine
 No photos today except for one I wanted to hide from Taylor when he gets a little older and wants to start looking through my past albums (wishful thinking). We got a lot done today so I included the receipts for the day. My mom watched Taylor so we could do some shopping for him.

    cool idea with the hidden photo! (I have a 4 year old who's already been through all the previous december/chrsitmas albums that came out on the 1st...)

 Tonight, we trimmed the tree. Trevor and I decided to do it after Taylor went to bed. As we hung his new ornament, a football he chose himself, I couldn't help but imagine what next year will be like. If he'll be able to help us or not. I'm very anxious to see Taylor's reaction tomorrow, when he sees the lights and ornaments on the tree. For the past few days, he hasn't really payed much attention to the bare tree. Here's my left page:  Testing out some lights I had from last year, which we couldn't use because half the strand was out. Here's my right page:  The finished tree. Too bad my photos don't do it justice. I gotta learn how to take better pictures of lights and ornaments on the tree.  I also included a 2x4 insert with the before tree with just the lights on the front,  and the after tree all done and loaded with ornaments, old and new. December Daily 2012 Foundation Pages

It's that time of year again! Last year I embarked on this incredible project for the first time, and I loved it! I've been looking forward to this all year, and now December is almost here! I'm finally done with my album, with the exception of the cover. Not sure what I want to do with that just yet. The foundation pages are ready to go! Every day is basically going to be a 2 page spread, like this: With some overlays thrown in here and there. Here are my foundation pages. A lot of them are super simple because the pages will really come together once the photos are added. And there you have it! Come on December! December Daily is an idea from Ali Edwards. December Daily 2012 - Day One

Welcome to December Daily 2012. The day I've waited for all year is finally here! I enjoyed this project so much last year, and I'm ready to go again. We did a lot on this first day of December, including shopping for lights, getting the decorations down from the attic, walking around the neighborhood, and Trevor putting up the lights on the outside of the house, but the story I was most excited for was buying a real tree this year. It reminds me of my childhood. We found a really good one too! Here is the left page, one large photo of Taylor at the Tree lot:   And here is the right page:  A picture of our little family in front of our tree. :) I used a 4x6 overlay created by Ali Edwards, found here . The word tree is a digital brush by Ali, which can be purchased on Designer Digitals .
