Project Life 2012-Week Three

Image
Here is my Project Life 2012 - Week Three I felt very accomplished this week. :) Did some much needed cleaning and organizing around the house, got allergy testing done, rearranged the furniture in my scrap room, and got myself a job! I will be working at a preschool in the coming weeks and Taylor will attend as well. I am so excited about it because I'm ready to start teaching again and I think Taylor is ready for some socialization. I am very thankful for the time I got to spend at home with him, watching him grow, but I think we will both benefit from this next step in our lives. Here is my left page: I included packaging from our newest addition to our interactive story buddy collection, Bigsby and a little to-do list I kept throughout the week. The photos I included this week were adorable moments I was so happy I was able to capture. Taylor is into bringing all his toys, one by one, to a spot on the couch or table. This week I noticed he was bringing them to Harvey, and Ha

Project Life 2012-Week Two

Here is my Project Life 2012 - Week Two  This week was pretty low-key. Just ran a few errands and took Taylor to the park almost everyday. I didn't have my car on Monday and Tuesday because Trevor was using it, so I rode my bike with Taylor to get out of the house. I even rode it to Michael's on Tuesday. I had an appointment with an allergy doctor on Wednesday to finally figure out what is going on with me. I've been miserable and congested every day for two months straight! He said he'll make me all better, but I have to have testing done next week. He gave me some Nasonex and I'm happy to say, I've been able to breathe again. On Saturday, we had two birthday parties to go to! It was a fun way to end the week. Here's my left page: I included the packaging from my nasal spray and the invitation to my cousin, Christian's birthday party.  I included two inserts this week. I used a 6x12 page protector from Becky Higgins to hold six photos from the birt

Project Life 2012-Week One

Here is my Project Life 2012 - Week One I am so excited to be done with my first week in my album. As I sat down on Sunday night to complete my pages, I actually had too much stuff! I guess you can say I was over-excited. Here is my left page: I included my ticket stub from a football game I went to on Sunday, my visitor sticker from the hospital when we went to visit the newest addition to the family, my fiance's cousin, and a thank you card from a baby shower I attended back in November. Here is my right page: I had to add a collage I did in Photoshop about the return of my shows. :) I also included a screenshot of the weather on my iPhone, a lid to a k cup that I've been enjoying all week, a business card from the shop my fiance had to leave his car with to be fixed, and a coaster from Outback where we had dinner one night. The awesome days of the week brushes I added to my photographs in Photoshop are created by Ali Edwards from Designer Digitals . And there you

Project Life 2012-Cover Page

Here is my cover page for my Project Life 2012 album. I mostly used cards from the kit but added in some things I had.  For example, I added to the card on the bottom right 4x6 space. The "enjoy every minute" sticker came from The Paper Loft, but I don't think they make it anymore. The chipboard heart came from a Heidi Swapp embellishment kit from Costco. And the lacey tag came with a kit from a class I took at CKC in 2009. I'm very proud of the top left 4x6 space because I played around in Photoshop Elements with a free download from Ali Edwards (capturing the moments of life) overlaying "2012" and printing onto a transparency. I let it dry for three days so it wouldn't smudge. The strip of patterned paper was a scrap I had and I'm not sure where that came from.

Project Life 2012

Very excited to begin my first Project Life album. I've been busy taking photos and keeping little things as evidence of what we've done this week. It's so funny that this week seems to be dragging because I am ready to document it and put everything in the album. But I gotta live it first. I'm using this project as a way to really enjoy life's little moments and capture the everyday. With a little toddler around, it's very easy to just try to survive the day, but with this project I want to preserve everything! It's going to be wonderful to look back at this album years from now and relive the little moments that would be otherwise forgotten. HAPPY NEW YEAR! 2012, I'M READY FOR YA! What is Project Life? Project Life is developed by Becky Higgins and is a simple form of scrapbooking designed to take the guess work out of memory keeping. Her predesigned kits and page protectors work together with your photos and words to create a beautiful album tha
