Scrapping from the Heart

 Welcome to December Daily 2015 | Day Twelve   We checked out a city parade. The weather was horrible! But, we sat on the sidewalk in our chairs, with blankets and umbrellas and enjoyed the floats going by. Santa was our favorite.  Left:   Right:

 A minor surgery today for day eleven. My baby had to get a scrotum revision. His doctor assured us he'd be just fine and back to his normal self later that day. Still, the fact that he was going under anesthesia was nerve-wracking. But all was well.  Spread:   Left:    Right: I created a flip-up with details on the procedure. I also included the story of the day from the perspective of my five senses.

  Quick one for Day Ten.  I wanted to document my peaceful, quiet mornings when I get these precious moments to myself. Enjoying my cup of coffee and Christmas tree. I created a shaker pocket! Something I've wanted to do for a while but didn't have a sewing machine. Fuse!! I love you. :)

 Welcome to day nine. This was such a wonderful memory: trimming the tree. Something we do every year, but this year was special because Taylor LOVED it. He kept on saying how much fun it was, and that he liked this tree. It was so cute! Spread:  Left:  I was super inspired by Ali on this one! Back of insert:  I lifted her circles from day nine . But I adhered them on a page protector I cut up and slipped into another page protector. Right:  6x8 photo of my son putting the star on the tree. That face right there...magic! :D

 Weekends are made for catching up, right? :) Here is my (gasp!) day eight (and it's the 19th)...  A spread to document my holiday earrings. I love them! Left: This is the back of the page protector I fused, so I just kept the back of the patterned paper from the day before in the smaller pocket. I added a piece of white cardstock with a silver star, included in the main kit. Right:  I created a flip up:  

 Welcome to December Daily 2015 | Day Seven A simple spread highlighting Mr. Tanner and what a big boy he is. He is such a joy to have in our lives. He's growing way too fast. Spread:  Left:  Full page photo and I added a rubber banner and a gold star.  Insert:  I added a "joy" tab from an old December Daily kit. Right:  I used the Fuse tool for the very first time! The line is a bit crooked but it was super easy, and fun.

 Welcome to December Daily 2015 | Day Six We picked out our Christmas tree today! My hope was to get a family photo in front of the tree we chose but that didn't happen. Trevor got a photo of me and the boys though. Here's the spread: Left:  I love the paper for the insert: I added a "traditions" tab. On the back of the insert, I adhered the directions for taking care of the tree and the price tag. Right:  Full page photo outside of the page protector. I included a digital word art and a silver glitter star.  

 I gotta get this blog up to date! The good news is I've kept up with my album, for the most part, lol. I really want to participate with the December Daily 2015 group and Ali's blog, like I've done in past years, but it's hard to find the time and energy working full time with a 5 year old and a baby, but I will try my best. :) Here is my spread for day five:   We went to "cool dude, Andre's" birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese.  Left:   I included the invitation and a photo of my son with the birthday boy. Taylor had a blast. I always love watching this group of kiddos. They get along really well.  My insert:  I added a "be merry" tab from Ali's main kit this year.  On the back, I typed up my journaling. Right:  Those fun 12 pocket 2x2 squares makes it's first appearance in my album!

 I want to apologize for the delay in blog posts. I hope to stay caught up, hehe. Here's day four:  I typed my journaling on the back of the insert for day three.  I added a "moments" tab sticker from Ali's main kit this year to the insert for day four.    Here's the right page: I cut the word "magic" with my silhouette onto shiny gold cardstock.

 Welcome to December Daily 2015 | Day Three Just one page for today talking about how I desperately want to decorate the house, but just haven't found the time yet. I do mention how proud I am that I got down all the Christmas bins by myself. Now, to open them up and start decking the halls! Hopefully soon. Here's the spread with the insert:  Left page:   I added a tab to my insert with "on my mind" stamped onto white cardstock. The back of this insert will be the left page in day four.
