December Daily 2017 | Day Three


It's interesting to see how what used to take an evening now takes all day! Decorating the house for Christmas this year involved everybody and took a really long time, lol. We got a lot accomplished though. The tree, wall unit, random decorations, nativity set, mini trees in boys' rooms, outside lights all done, as well as grocery shopping and meal prep. I'd say it was a very successful Sunday. And it was a Sunday filled with magic.
I loved the twinkle lights. I loved looking through all of our ornaments. I loved Taylor's enthusiasm. I loved Tanner talking to the Mickey and Minnie ornament. I loved the boys playing with the light projector on the garage. I loved Tanner listening and repeating "no touch anything". I love the enjoyment that the holidays bring.

 Tonight, we trimmed the tree. Trevor and I decided to do it after Taylor went to bed. As we hung his new ornament, a football he chose himself, I couldn't help but imagine what next year will be like. If he'll be able to help us or not. I'm very anxious to see Taylor's reaction tomorrow, when he sees the lights and ornaments on the tree. For the past few days, he hasn't really payed much attention to the bare tree. Here's my left page:  Testing out some lights I had from last year, which we couldn't use because half the strand was out. Here's my right page:  The finished tree. Too bad my photos don't do it justice. I gotta learn how to take better pictures of lights and ornaments on the tree.  I also included a 2x4 insert with the before tree with just the lights on the front,  and the after tree all done and loaded with ornaments, old and new. December Daily 2012 Foundation Pages

It's that time of year again! Last year I embarked on this incredible project for the first time, and I loved it! I've been looking forward to this all year, and now December is almost here! I'm finally done with my album, with the exception of the cover. Not sure what I want to do with that just yet. The foundation pages are ready to go! Every day is basically going to be a 2 page spread, like this: With some overlays thrown in here and there. Here are my foundation pages. A lot of them are super simple because the pages will really come together once the photos are added. And there you have it! Come on December! December Daily is an idea from Ali Edwards. December Daily 2012 - Day One

Welcome to December Daily 2012. The day I've waited for all year is finally here! I enjoyed this project so much last year, and I'm ready to go again. We did a lot on this first day of December, including shopping for lights, getting the decorations down from the attic, walking around the neighborhood, and Trevor putting up the lights on the outside of the house, but the story I was most excited for was buying a real tree this year. It reminds me of my childhood. We found a really good one too! Here is the left page, one large photo of Taylor at the Tree lot:   And here is the right page:  A picture of our little family in front of our tree. :) I used a 4x6 overlay created by Ali Edwards, found here . The word tree is a digital brush by Ali, which can be purchased on Designer Digitals .
